Speech Therapy

Our certified speech language pathologists (SLPs) have training in a wide variety of skill sets to improve speech, language, communication, voice, feeding/swallowing and to help our patients remain as independent as possible. Our SLPs evaluate and treat in the following areas:

Pediatrics: We are here to help your child grow and achieve his or her communication goals!

  • Speech delays
  • Language delays
  • Feeding/swallowing
  • Voice disorders
  • Fluency/stuttering

Adults:

  • Language (e.g., aphasia post-stroke)
  • Speech (e.g., dysarthria post-stroke, Parkinson’s)
  • Cognitive-Communication (e.g. dementia)
  • Voice (e.g., low volume, Parkinson’s)

Specialized Services

  • LSVT LOUD (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment)
    LSVT LOUD is an effective speech treatment for individuals with Parkinson disease and other neurological conditions. The program improves vocal loudness by stimulating the muscles of the voice box (larynx) and speech mechanism through a systematic hierarchy of exercises. Our SLPs are trained LSVT LOUD therapists and will provide you with a personalized, intensive treatment plan in order to improve vocal quality.
  • PESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language)
    PESL is a thorough program in pronunciation instruction designed for foreign-born individuals who are competent in English vocabulary and grammar but wish to improve the accuracy of their pronunciation.
